An experienced property casualty insurance broker, Shawn Michael Kraatz, joined Alliant Insurance in 2000. In his role as senior vice president and senior managing partner, Shawn M. Kraatz specializes in national real estate and public entity insurance offerings, including insurance services for state, county, city, and special district entities.

Beyond his activities as an accredited commercial real estate investor, Shawn Michael Kraatz is also a nationally recognized public speaker on property and casualty insurance matters, particularly those relating to the public entity and real estate sectors. He has made numerous presentations to county and city governments on a breadth of insurance topics.

Shawn Michael Kraatz has worked in virtually every aspect of property and casualty insurance throughout his career, including workers' compensation, general liability insurance, fiduciary liability insurance, environmental policies, and directors and officers insurance. He also has extensive experience with owner-controlled insurance programs.

In addition to his commercial real estate accreditation, Shawn M. Kraatz is an accredited single-family rental and multi-family insurance professional. He attends many industry events and conferences held by organizations such as the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. In addition to his work in the real estate industry, he is an active philanthropist.
